My husband supported his mother for her medical bills and basic needs on a monthly basis but she lives abroad. Can we claim the expenses under the CCC?
No. Unfortunately, to be eligible for the Canada Caregiver Credit, your mother-in-law would have to live here in Canada (even if she didn't live with you).
