Hi, i am buying an investment property for 490,000. builder saying i have to pay HST. Is that 13% of 490k or max 24k HST fees?

It would be 13% of 490k. You can use the calculator on the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) website to calculate the amount you need to pay. GST/HST calculator (and rates)
