Quebec private health insurance premiums were properly reported on Releve 1 (Box J) and calculated correctly on Quebec tax return. However, the amount does not transfer to the federal tax return. If i enter this amount for federal purposes it is double counted on the Quebec return. How can the premiums be claimed on the federal return without creating a double count on the Quebec return? Can the double count be over ridden? If so, how?
