Please contact the CRA at 1-800-959-8281 and they will be able to advise you that because you have already provided them with your income for prior years- it might count as a return only because the CRA would now have your information on file.

Because you have mentioned you are filing the tax first time, May be your spouse already filed a combined one last year. so better not check that you are filing first time. That fixed my issue!
