Why Turbotax online only allows a maximun $5,000 childcare deduction for infirm dependant instead of $11,000 if the disability tax cedit is not transfered?seemd a glitch
When I include the DTC, the software allows up to a $11,000 childcare deduction, but if I don't claim it, ony allows me to claim $5,000 in childcare expenses.

Troubleshooting
For a dependent child of any age who is eligible for the disability tax credit, the annual childcare expense amount is $11,000.
For children who are not infirm and who are between the ages of 7 and 16, the amount is $5,000.
For children who are dependent and infirm who are 17 years of age and older, the amount is also $5,000 if the child does not qualify for the disability tax credit.
So, not qualifying for disability tax credit would result in not getting the $11,000 annual limit.
Thank you for choosing TurboTax.
