Troubleshooting
It's late on March 20 and I'm still getting this error about 52+53 not equalling 21. First time with a T3 and am refiling because I didn't know that they get physically mailed out so late. Horrible experience so far 😛

Troubleshooting
When is turbo tax going to fix this. Some of us need to file. This year has been riddled with issues. These type of errors should not be happening.

Troubleshooting
T3 Form - Box 52 & 53 must equal box 21. I have two tax returns with the same issue. There is a value in box 21 & no values for box 52 & 53. (box 52 value before June 24 & box 53 value after June 24). Does this apply to the CRA's decision to not go ahead with the increase in Capital Gains tax? If this is the case, values in box 52 & 53 are complete waste of time and likely the reason they are not on the T3's I have received from the bank. When is this issue going to be resolved as I am not able to NetFile my returns.

Troubleshooting
I ended up calling customer service. On the easy forms for the T3, there are two boxes for 21, 52, and 53. When I adjusted to total capital gains vs foreign the error cleared. Not sure why there would be two boxes. But making that change cleared the error. I will also say I've seen negative reviews about customer support, but that was not my experience. I called and there was a 30 minute wait but was allowed to leave my number for a call back and the rep was nice and helped me out pretty quickly.

Troubleshooting
March.20, 21:54pm;
I am having the same issue. Pretty brutal, has anyone heard back from Turbo tax yet? What a pain, tried numerous times. Never had a problem with Turbo tax until now. This having 2 boxes of 52+53 don't help either when the slip from the cra I have only has 1 box of each so how are we supposed to know if its before or after the Jun. 24/25 dates on a T3? This could be simpler with a 52A/B and 53A/B box for those of us that don't do taxes for a living.

Troubleshooting
This is how I got around the Turbotax Canada glitch error on the T3 slip. I put the total in box 52 to agree with box 21 and deleted the amount in box 53. Hey presto, the error disappeared. Now, I am a happy puppy and hope it works for others that encountered the same problem. This was my fix!

Troubleshooting
I had the same frustrating problem. What I eventually did, was enter the exact amount in box 52 to agree with the amount in box 21. I deleted the amount in box 53. Hey presto, the error disappeared. Now, I am a happy puppy. Hope it works for you. Cheers, Michael
