Troubleshooting
For the error on the T3 slip not balancing box 52+53 to equal box 21A, trying to enter the sum of 52+53 into box 53 (deleting 52) should fix the problem.

To see if that fixes the error, I would have to netfile. But that may only correct one of the issues. TT still doesn't allocate or split my capital gains from a T3 to my spouse correctly. If I put a 50-50 split, it gives me the total capital gains (100%) on the Federal Form and nothing to my spouse. Whereas, on my Provincial form, living in Quebec, the 50-50 is done.
WHEN WILL THE FIX BE SENT TO ADDRESS BOTH ISSUES???

Thank you. I just did the same thing that you suggested after communicating with at least 8 Turbotax representatives who had no clue how to help me!! Hopefully there are no repercussions with CRA but at least the error message stopped showing up and I was able to file my taxes!

This did not work. In fact in raised the amount due too CRA. Wonderful afternoon on the phone with Turbotax. 1 hour, 39 minutes of my life I will never recover. Turbotax representative said after this time her supervisor would se d me an email with an article. I was pretty clean I didn’t want t an emailed article but wanted please to speak to supervisor. Representative said she would transfer me but, alas, (surprise surprise) the call was disconnected. Still NO FURTHER AHEAD with this issue.
Turbotax has certainly failed us. We should get some rebate. I am so disappointed in them.

WE shouldn't have to do this, but if you ENTER TWO T3s one for each of you, each as 100% owned, with 1/2 values for all boxes, it should be OK. You also can put the total capital gains (box 21) in to box 53 and nothing in box 52. This worked for me.

Troubleshooting
Is this from the T3 problem?
If so, don't put anything in box 52. Put the same number in box 21 and 53.
If you are splitting ownership of T3 income, you also have to make 2 T3s, one for each of you, 100% owned, with all the values halved (but nothing in box 52, remember).
