Same here. Goddamn it. Now they are screwing up the updates. That's the last straw for me.

Troubleshooting
Same issue after the update.
T936. Line 68140 DO NOT reflect the total of Line 21 of T3s as it should be.
No matter what Intuit saying. this is a software issue.

Now the program won't even start up. You cannot bypass the update, only select Yes, and then nothing happens. How can Intuit be so damned incompetent?

Thought I got a discount paying $72 for Turbotax premier. It's useless. It has screwed up my spouse and mine returns. Mine is submitted before I found out my wife's wouldn't.
Now I realize mine is likely incorrect...and hers can't be submitted.
It's a sh!tstorm and pain the a$$. I used this software for many many years...but to Quicktax.
But can it ever be trusted again? I think they owe us a refund.

Yep. at this point we should have a refund. After 27 years, I'm leaving Turbotax, I don't trust them anymore.
The issue with line 68140 on t936 is definately a software issue, not CRA. The amount should be the total of line 21 but it's 0... it's a bug causing a lot of issues.

Troubleshooting
This is an utterly vague release note. Your developers are so lazy. They should give some details on exactly what is fixed in this version. Saying "bug fixes" is useless. Which bug or bugs were fixed??? As a long time software developer, I'd get reprimanded for something like this. I expect better from paid software.

Thanks for this information. Downloaded the update and checked the capital gains and everything was populated correctly. I had previously netfiled my return a couple of days ago with no problem but CRA said I couldn't netfile my husband's. After reading about this updaye and updating my program I proceeded to Netfile my husband's without a hitch 😊. After doing that I had to re-file mine because of the T3 populating and it wasn't a problem. However, CRA said it's "experiencing delays in processing T1 adjustment requests due to a higher than normal number of requests". They've given a target completion date of June 3rd, 2025, for the adjustment request. It's too bad that the Liberal government makes a change for capital gains and software companies as well as CRA prepare tax programs based on the change and then government back-tracks leaving everyone scrambling to re-program. I do feel, however, that Turbo Tax should have had the update much sooner than this. Very disappointed in Turbo Tax.

I ran the update when prompted. But nothing seemed to happen. The About Box still shows the same version number as before and none of the timestamps on any of the files in C:\Program Files (x86)\TurboTax 2024 have been updated.
