Troubleshooting
Hi guys, I had some luck after fiddling with the T3 slip. For box 21, i entered the values in both boxes for capital gains and foriegn capital gains. I then ignored box 52 and instead entered the total values for 52 and 53 in 53 only.
I also applied my carryforward capital gains to my gains.
If you have to split your gains with your spouse, this has to be done manually as Turbotax did not split the gains. Other boxes of income seemed to split fine.
This seemed to work for one return. But my second return was rejected by CRA as this account is locked by CRA do to too many times trying to Netfile. Instead of calling and waiting for 2 hours. I have decided to mail this return.
I hope you guys/girls have luck with this. This issue has me using Ufile next year. Turbotax was very disappointing this time around.

Troubleshooting
I am thinking I will just delete off of Schedule 3 the sale of property that is creating my capital loss. This will then allow the T936 line 68140 to populate with the total of the box 21 on the T3's. Then I can netfile and get my refund. Once I get my notice of assessment, I will file an adjustment to my T1 on a form called T1-ADJ to report the capital loss that I omitted from my return. Then I can file another form (T1A) to apply that capital loss against prior years capital gains.
Make sense?

Troubleshooting
At this point I am tempted to not put the capital gain reported on box 21 of the T3 and amount in box 52 and 53 and report the capital gain from the T3 directly on schedule 3 as a capital gain (only show proceed equal to capital gain with no cost). This mean that no amount to be transferred from the T3 to T936 and the issue of code 95365 filing error goes away even if you have capital loss overall. By doing this, it does not change the final numbers. If CRA comes back I will just point out that the capital dividend have been reported directly in schedule 3 instead putting it on the T3.

IslandRed,
That sounds like an excellent idea. Don't think it will issue a red flag at CRA as there is no change in taxes. Might warrant a note from them clarifying why the difference with T5008 but by that time you'll already have put in the T1-adj and can easily explain to them the problem with the software...which I'm sure they are aware of.

Troubleshooting
While on hold on the phone with Turbotax I opened my rejected file and noticed my wife's refund and my tax due had changed. Assumed problem was fixed so tried E-filing both and was successful! So much for Turbo tax telling us when problem was fixed.......I'm still on hold after 30 minutes. Good luck!

Troubleshooting
After the recent update with "bug fixes" when reopening turbotax there's an Alert with a link to the following page: https://turbotax.intuit.ca/tips/2025-canada-capital-gains-tax-updates
"How is capital gains tax calculated in 2025?
Now that the legislation for an increase has been cancelled, you continue to only pay tax on 50% of any capital gains."
So it appears turbotax has been rolling back the changes regarding capital gains to what was there from the previous year. With the recent flip-flop from the gov't for the 50%/66% calculations I suspect this' what is/was causing all our issues.
Can somebody from turbotax please confirm? Is there more work to do still?
