I got a TurboTax std desktop from Costco but before installing wanted to make sure in the future if I want to move to online will it be possible?

At the beginning of your 2026 return, you will be prompted to upload your 2025 tax data file (.tt25). This will automatically carry forward your personal data, carryover amounts, and tax history, ensuring continuity between the desktop and online versions.
