Trying to use activation code for 2nd return but getting error..do i have to pay for all returns after the 1st one is complete?

i bought this at staples and box only came with one activation code

Hi,

If you are using the desktop version: In order to start a new return, save your return and select file close return. It will bring you to a page with the option to start a new return. You don't need to enter a new activation code if you are using the desktop software. You can file more than one return, the number of returns you can file depends on the desktop version you purchased. 

If you are using the online version: You may start a new return, but will be required to pay for the additional return before filing.
