I help my husband on a regular basis with his work, he submits the bill and gets paid, can I claim any income from that?

It is unlikely that you would be able to claim a portion of your husband's income.

To claim income, you must be considered a contractor or an employee of your husband. Also, the income must be commensurate to the amount of work you are doing.
