my activation code purchased from costco a year ago doesn't work its good for 8 returns (I used 2 last year for me and my husband - so should be 6 return left

I purchased the Intuit turbotax Deluxe edition Online at Costco. Following the procedure to install on my laptop, no where I am asked to enter the activation code. Why?
