In 2022 I bougth Premier Online Edition, that has 12 returns. I filed 2 returns for 2023 and now wanted to create another 3 for 2024 but I'm asked to pay again. Why?

Activation code are good for the tax year they were bought to. By example, your code for 2023, can only be used for 2023 tax return. For 2024 return, you have to buy a 2024 Activation code.
