Hi @wanny_lukwebo
If you work in Quebec and live in Ottawa, you are considered to be a resident of Ontario for tax purposes. You will need to file a Quebec provincial tax return to report your employment income earned in Quebec. Report the Quebec tax withheld on your T4 slip in the "Other Information" area of the federal tax return and on your Quebec tax return along with your employment income earned in Quebec. Reporting Quebec tax withheld on both tax returns will ensure accurate calculation of your tax liability and tax credits applicable to you. If you're unsure how to report your Quebec tax withheld properly, we believe your best option is to contact our telephone support team for further assistance, as they have the option to view your screen to help resolve the issue.
