To move your TurboTax data from Windows 10 to Windows 11, you only need to transfer your tax data files, not the program itself. You cannot "transfer" the installed software; you must install a fresh copy on your new Windows 11 device.
You are looking for files with the extension. tt24 (for 2024 taxes) or . tt25 (for 2025).
The Data File: This contains all your tax info. It usually looks like YourName.tt25.
The PDF Copy: If you saved a PDF version for your records, it will look like YourName.pdf.
You can also transfer all previous year data files.
