Where do I claim immigration lawyer fees?

I had some immigration lawyers fees for my Permanent Residency process and want to check if those can be deducted.

Where do I claim immigration lawyer fees?

There are several legal fees that you may be able to claim as deductions on your tax return when filing. Most Legal fees paid for personal reasons are not tax deductible. Legal fees for immigration purposes are not indicated as tax deductible and therefore cannot be claimed on your income tax return.

Please see the link below to see more details on what kind of legal fees are tax deductible.

Are All Legal Fees Fully Tax Deductible?

For clarification, you may wish to contact the Canada Revenue Agency at their Individual tax enquiries line
