The Ontario Trillium Benefit combines 3 different credits to help with paying housing costs. These 3 credits are: Northern Ontario Energy Credit, Ontario Energy and Property Tax Credit, Ontario Sales Tax Credit. You are most likely eligible for the Ontario Energy and Property Tax Credit and the Ontario Sales Tax Credit as long as you are paying property tax or rent on your house, and are (One of these 3):
As for the Northern Ontario Energy Credit, it's eligibility is more specific to people who live in the north of Ontario. You must be living in these following areas: Algoma, Cochrane, Kenora, Manitoulin, Nipissing, Parry Sound, Rainy River, Sudbury, Thunder Bay, or Timiskaming. As well as living in those areas, you must follow the same eligibility as the other credits:

So, to summarize:
If you live in a house, pay property tax/rent, and are 18 years or older you are eligible for the OEPTC (Ontario Energy and Property Tax Credit) and the Ontario Sales Tax Credit. The Northern Ontario Energy Credit requires you to live in a designated area as well as the similar OEPTC eligibility to get the Northern Ontario Energy Credit.
