Foreign Tax Credits entry screen. Am I duplicating tax credits?

I worked in the US during January of 2017 and have entered the W2 information into the income section. The amount seems to carry into this section but not sure what to enter. Do I enter the income and taxes paid again on this screen? There are amounts there for taxes and income in the adjacent boxes above and below as "reported on slips".

Update: I manually calculated the foreign tax credit, referencing information from Revenue Canada (Form T2209). It looks like entering the information again has the right effect - the tax credit amount I calculated is nearly identical to the one on my TurboTax deductions summary when I entered the information again on that screen. I saw other people ask similar questions of Turbotax and their conclusion was that the software was not correctly calculating the foreign tax exemption amount, despite warnings later in the review.
