    I did auto upload of my taxes with CRA. It is showing stock trades as a t5008. Do I need to put the same info in capital gains section too

    You do not have to duplicate the information in the Capital Gains area. Make sure that Box 20 has been filled in on each T5008 and that the "Type" of investment is set at Capital Gains in the drop down menu under box 19.

    You do not have to duplicate the information in the Capital Gains area. Make sure that Box 20 has been filled in on each T5008 and that the "Type" of investment is set at Capital Gains in the drop down menu under box 19.
