If I own a cost of $120,000 CAD of US stocks in TFSA account, do I have to declare $100,000 foreign property ownership?
Investments held inside Canadian registered accounts such as RRSP’s, RRIF’s, TFSA’s etc....are exempt from reporting, as are foreign securities held by Canadian mutual funds and ETF’s.
