If my husband and I own a home in ON yet I work full-time in QC, traveling back and forth a few times a month by train and by car, is it worth claiming car expenses?

If I do claim the car expenses, do I have to prove the price of gas, or can I make an estimate (e.g. 8L/100k x 500k x 1.10$/k = x amount per trip)?  Or is this not good enough?

These are regarded as personal expenses and therefore cannot be claimed
