If my principal residence is owned by my parents and they pay the property tax, am I allowed to claim the OEPTC tax credit?

If I am able to claim this, my following question is does it make sense for me to claim in order to maximize my tax refund since both my parents are retired? Or is this benefit not included in tax refund calculation?

If you pay rent to live in a house, then you are eligible to claim it as part of the Trillium Benefit. Please note that this benefit is separate from your tax refund and is paid out separately.
