If own a rental property and had some renters completly ruin my carpet. can i write off of the cost of the new flooring? it was around 6000 bucks.

I have never done anything with cca. should I be doing this?  if I can write off the 6000 where would I enter the amount? In expenses with property tax and maintenance?

You would put that expense under Section 3 of the T776 - line 8960. Keep all your receipts in case the CRA requests them later.
