Im receiving an err that states I have to enter an amount of property tax paid for the Ont Sr Homeowners Prop tax Grant. The residence is rented so the value is $0.

When I attempt to submit the file electronically it states that the error has to be fixed otherwise it cannot be filed online.  The exact error message is as follows:

To apply for the Ontario Senior Homeowner's Property Tax Grant, you must enter the amount of property tax paid in the current year.

I believe this occurred last year and because this value was $0 the Ontario Trillium Benefit was not initially paid.  I had to follow up with a paper form in order to receive the benefit.

Any direction you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thanking you in advance for your assistance!

Make sure you are indicating that your cost of accommodations is paid as Rent and provide the amount.
