Had both you and your spouse made contributions to your own respective RRSPs? In order to be able to show repayment towards your HBP you would have to purchase rrsps on your own name. If your spouse makes the purchase, whether they were towards your own rrsps or not, you are not able to use those contributions for your own repayment.

Had both you and your spouse made contributions to your own respective RRSPs? In order to be able to show repayment towards your HBP you would have to purchase rrsps on your own name. If your spouse makes the purchase, whether they were towards your own rrsps or not, you are not able to use those contributions for your own repayment.
