Where do I claim US dollar interest paid on investments, and do I concert it to canadian dollars

You will convert to CDN funds...and you would claim them as a carrying charge.

Click "Income"

Click "Investment Expenses"

Click "Interest paid to earn interest, dividend, and royalty income"

Click "Continue"

Enter the amount in the field "Interest Paid"

Click "Continue" to save.

What type of investments...are they capital gains, for instance?

It's from my Questrade account, where I have borrowed US dollars to purchase US stocks.
