How do I change my TurboTax Online password?

1. Go to the TurboTax website.
2. Sign in with your user ID and password.
3. Select Continue next to any return.
4. Select Account Settings from the menu.
5. On the Hello screen, select the option for Sign in & Security.
6. Select Password.
7. On the Update your password screen, enter your new password and then confirm it.
8. Select Save.

1. Go to the TurboTax products for previous tax years page.
2. Select the relevant tax year, then select Continue my 2022 tax return or Continue my 2023.
3. Sign in with your user ID and password.
4. In TurboTax, select Account Settings from the menu.
5. On the Hello screen, select Sign in & Security.
6. On the Sign in & security screen, select Password.
7. On the Update your password screen, enter your new password and then confirm it.
8. Select Save.

Note: Only TurboTax Desktop is available for tax years 2018 to 2021.

3. Follow the prompts for installing the software.
4. Once in TurboTax, select Continue next to any return.
5. Select File from the TurboTax menu.
6. Select Set Password from the dropdown menu.
7. On the TurboTax File Password popup, enter the new password and then confirm it.
