Are university scholarships taxable for a full-time student? It auto-loads the box (only $500 exempted from tax).

According to the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), "Post-secondary school scholarships, fellowships, and bursaries are not taxable if you received them in 2020 for your enrolment in a program if you are considered a full-time qualifying student for 2019, 2020, or 2021." That's why TurboTax will auto-load your scholarship exemption if you are a qualifying full-time student who is enrolled in an educational program and received the scholarship in 2020.
