    can i use Basic to show a contribution to my RRSP? i cannot find this information anywhere..

    Yes, you absolutely can. TurboTax Free (Online) and TurboTax Basic (Desktop) both support RRSP contributions. In fact, RRSP contributions are considered part of a "simple return" in Canada.
