    Conference cost deduction as a student

    Can I deduct the costs for attending a conference related to my course of study as a student? The entire cost was paid by me.

    Unfortunately, no.  You are not able to claim things such as travel costs, or lodging, etc.  Just the cost of the tuition, as reported on the tax slip you are given.
