Do I have to declare RRSP contribution made after RRSP deadline?

My wife put in RRSP contributions in Apr 1, 2015 by accident instead of the Mar 1, 2015 deadline for 2014 tax return. I found this out when I got a RRSP tax receipt this year (2016). Can I just leave it alone and not file it this year as I 'filed' it last year though it was past the RRSP deadline of Mar 1, 2016?

Do I have to declare RRSP contribution made after RRSP deadline?

The contribution could not be reported or deducted in the 2014 tax year.
It must be reported in the 2015 tax year. Ie This year

The amount may be deducted in 2015, subject to your Deduction limit Amount A, or may be deducted In a future year.

You should neither report nor deduct this contribution more than once.
