Hi,
My son is 17. He earned some amount of money occasionally to do some administrative work, cleaning etc. for a person who rents out a condo. This person said he will deduct the money paid to my son as rental expense. My son receives the money by cash/cheque. Does my son need a T4 to file this earning on his income tax? and will he be able to have RRSP contribution room for this income?
Thanks
He doesn't need to get a T4 slip. He will file his income as occasional earnings not on a T-Slip. TurboTax can handle that. The income will create RRSP deduction room.
