I forgot to inform an RRSP investment amount in my tax return and I have filed my taxes already. Can I still use this amount this year? How should I proceed in this case?

I informed only the values from Mar to Dec 2022 and I didn't inform the amount from Jan and Feb 2022, that way I didn't declare this amount neither 2022 neither now in 2023.

Thank you for your question.

You are still able to include the unclaimed RRSP contributions for both years. However, you will have to wait for the Notice of Assessment from the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). Often when assessing your return, the adjustments will be made from the information in your file at the CRA. Although, even if the contributions are added, you would still need to make an adjustment if you wish to claim the deductions.

Here is a link from the CRA about how to amend your return that may be helpful.
