I'm trying to transfer unused tuition amounts to my spouse, but can't -- the program tells me the amount to transfer is $0, however, I have no tax owing.
Tuition should only carry over to next year if tax is zero. But I owe $1.4k. Why is TurboTax not applying full tuition amt from T2202, but carrying forward $5k to 2025?
I entered tuition fees in my tax return but none were used in the student summary for 2024. As a result, it appears I owe taxes. How can I apply those credits?
