I have excessive contribution to roth ira in 2023, do I need to withdraw earnings from the excess amount too?

I contributed $6500 to my Roth IRA in 2023 when I'm not allowed to contribute any due to my income. Now, I don't know if I need to withdraw earnings from the excess contribution as I couldn't find direct answers from IRS and different sources are giving different answers. I also wonder if I can convert my roth to tradition and back. I'm not living outside U.S.(not U.S. citizen), so I don't know if I can do recharacterization at all
