Moving Provinces with Unused Tuition Credits

I moved from AB back to BC August 2021. I carried over the provincial and federal unused tuition credits from my 2020 NOA. I am getting the following warning when reviewing my 2021 assessment: "You indicated that you moved to a different province this year and you have unused tuition amounts, please review this to ensure you have indicated your provincial amounts appropriately. "

I am unsure of what this means and how to correct it. Please advise.

Moving Provinces with Unused Tuition Credits

The warning is there to remind you that If you move from one province to another with unused provincial tuition carried forward, you are usually limited to only using your federal unused tuition amount as your provincial amount (with some exceptions).

British Columbia has eliminated its tuition and education amounts for years after 2018.

Be aware that Individuals who move to British Columbia from other provinces or territories after December 31, 2018, will no longer be able to claim their accumulated tuition and education tax credits in British Columbia.
