In Easy Step mode, the Nova Scotia Children's Sports and Arts Credit is under Claim Dependant Credits. If you are using Forms mode in TurboTax CD/Download, it’s on the bottom half of the Dependant pop-up screen.

To report the Children’s Sports and Arts Refundable Tax Credit, first fill out your personal information and build your tax profile in TurboTax to ensure optimal results, then follow the steps below:

  1. Go to your return and on the left-hand side menu click on Deductions then click on Claims for Dependants and select Claims for Dependants Intro
  2. From here answer the questions with "Yes" then click "Continue" and you will then get to the page Your children and other dependants
  3. Click Enter Credit Info to enter information for each dependant and you will then get to Claim Dependant Credits for [your child's name]
  4. Select and answer the question then click "Continue"
  5. When Did your child participate in sports, cultural, artistic or recreational activities? screen appears, answer all the questions and select Children's sports and arts tax (provincial credit only), then click "Continue"
  6. Repeat the steps above for any additional claims.

You can then view your refund amount on the top left of your return.
