My spouse died and his RSP was rolled over to mine by the investmt firm. I also rec’d a T4RSP slip. How should it be entered on TurboTx?

I also rec’d a contribution in kind RSP statement. It was my understanding  a T4RSP is a statement of income? This is a spousal rollover.

Thank You

Provide the information from the T4RSP income slip. Then enter the contribution information in the RRSP section and add the designated transfer amount.

So in this case, I enter my deceased spouse RRSP rollover  as "designated transfer", and I made my own RRSP contribution below my current RRSP allowance. How come the Turbo Tax calculation on RRSP allowance for forward year becomes "zero" ?
