Transfered DPSP from previous employer to a new RRSP account. Do I need to report this in my as designated transfer to rrsp as deduction to my contribution room this year

My previous employer for 2017 had DPSP to which I contributed, it was reported in pension adjustment of my T4 slip. When I got a new job, I tranferred in cash to a RRSP account. However I don't want to deduct any rrsp amount even though I have contributed, should I still inform that there was designated transfer to my rrsp account in turbo tax

Hi. You should still report the RRSP contribution. You can then choose whether or not to take the deduction. Thanks!
