Adoption credit for adopting a former spouse’s child

I got divorced in 2018 from my ex-wife. I adopted her daughter in 2023 prior to her turning 18. I am still single and filing single. Can I claim the adoption tax credit?

Probably. You qualify based on the criteria since you are single, see here. (Adoption expenses while a step-parent are not deductible.) There are income limitations as seen here.
