How do I resolve a TT400 error in TurboTax Desktop?

If you use TurboTax Desktop and get a TT400 error when trying to save or open your return:

  • Make sure your antivirus settings (if applicable) aren't blocking the application.
  • Try running the application as an administrator, then saving your file to a different location.
