Activation code not working

I have seen many posts about the activation code not working for the Deluxe Online Edition purchased from Costco. Mine also does not work so I started my return using the link provided. Please reassure me that I can input my code at the end of my return as I do not want to pay twice. I already returned 1 product to Costco and I do not want to return another. Please fix this issue. Thanks

You can enter the code in the coupon code box in the payment section. You can go directly there by selecting File > CRA Online Mail from the bottom of the left side menu.

Activation code for Deluxe online Edition not working. Turbotax online helps not at all helpful Cannot return product to Staples. May have to find another vendor.

What error code did you receive when you tried to activate at turbotax.ca/activate?

Can't remember as I decided to go ahead with your suggestion re using a coupon code at the end but I recall something to the effect of Activation Code Invalid.

I purchased the Deluxe online product twice from Costco and both didn't work so don't bother going there.

I purchased a Deluxe Online Edition of Turbotax. I previously used the program from a disc over several years but that computer is no longer working. I can get as far as the request to enter my activation code. The code is not accepted. I have tried turning of my safe web software but that did not work. I have been at this a few days and searched all over the Turbotax website.

You mention a CD in the past, can you confirm that the program you are trying to use the code with is our TurboTax Online software or our TurboTax Desktop/Download software? The code from one does not work with the other type of software. Did you buy the software from a retail store?

For the last few years I have been purchasing the Deluxe Online Edition with no CD in the box. Until now, I have never had a problem following the instructions in the box and using the activation code provided.

I have tried to enter the code where it says coupon but i keep getting this error message "Something is wrong.  Please re-enter the code"

Where did you buy your software and did you buy our TurboTax Desktop/Download software or did you buy our TurboTax Online software?

My purchase is  a card with an activation code. It was in a box labeled Deluxe Online Edition. It was purchased at Staples Canada, 1595 Merivale Road, Ottawa K2G 3J4 on 14 March 2024. 

 

When I attempted to enter the code, the reply was, "Something is no right, try re-entering your code.

 

I have re-entered the code many times.

Did you already go to activate your software at TurboTax.ca/activate? 

Please try our link for our 2023 TurboTax Online software and you can enter your code on the payment page in the coupon box.

@brenda196856 First, please make sure that you have purchased the right product. The codes for TurboTax Online will not work with TurboTax CD/Download & vice-versa.

 

Second, if you bought TurboTax at a retailer (Costco, Walmart, Staples, etc…), please make sure that you are using the code that came in the package. It may be on a slip of paper or on a scratch-off card. It is not on the outside of the box or on your receipt.

 

If you have bought TurboTax Online, please go to turbotax.ca/activate to use your code before you start your returns. If you have bought TurboTax CD/Download, you will be asked for the licence code when you install the software.
