The licence code in my store purchase is not working. Gives me error message saying something went wrong.
I did start the turbo tax on a different laptop (work) but I could not move forward as there was a hardstop. Needed permission to download the app. I'm not sure this would affect the licence code? I need a new code or help with the one I have. ASAP, as I have 5 returns to do and we are getting close to the deadline of May 1.

First, please make sure that you have purchased the right product. The codes for TurboTax Online will not work with TurboTax CD/Download & vice-versa.
Second, if you bought TurboTax at a retailer (Costco, Walmart, Staples, etc…), please make sure that you are using the code that came in the package. It may be on a slip of paper or on a scratch-off card. It is not on the outside of the box or on your receipt.
If you have bought TurboTax Online, please go to turbotax.ca/activate to use your code before you start your returns. Using the code again will give an error message.
If you have bought TurboTax CD/Download, you will be asked for the licence code when you install the software. I myself am having the same problem in 2025 for 2024 tax return. I purchased the basic program and successfully installed and completed my first tax return. Now the licence code is not working to install the program into my laptop.
