The workaround (not a solution) I found to get past the white screen is to hover the mouse over the white screen until it changes to a text cursor, then click and type or paste your license code in the text field. Next, hover the mouse around the bottom right corner of the screen until the cursor changes again, which indicates you are over the "OK" button. Click the button and it should accept the license key and the program should become visible. In this skunk's opinion the issue is not solved.

Hopefully Intuit releases an update that will solve this problem. Also, very surprised at how many people consult a skunk for tax software problems. All we do is make a stink.

I previously reported an issue related to a blank windows when installing TurboTax 2020. The screen which prompts for the activation key was blank, however I was able to work around by hovering the mouse over the screen until I found the text entry field and the ENTER button. I found another blank screen in the program when I launch "Community" from the TurboTax menu bar (see below). I discovered that if I resize the window by dragging the bottom right corner, the text then becomes visible. Looks like some sort of problem with the window not rendering properly when it launches. Maybe an interaction between TT and the video driver?

Solved it. If you hover your mouse in the middle of the blank white window it changes to a text cursor, and you can click and enter or paste your registration code. Next, hover the mouse in the bottom right corner of the blank area until you find the invisible "OK" button and click it. After a few seconds your TurboTax will load and become visible. Not sure if we will lose visibility in other areas of the program.

I was able to work around the problem as follows: If you hover your mouse about halfway down the blank window, the pointer changes to a cursor, indicating a text entry field. I was able to click and type in my registration code. I then moused over the bottom right of the blank window where I expected an OK button to be, and when the pointer changed again I clicked. A few seconds later the program launched. So it appears that the blank white window is functional, it's just displaying everything in white. Intuit, over to you to fix this for others.

Hi taag94. Thank you for the update. I have a new Dell all-in-one with SSD boot and HDD storage, running Win 10 Home 20H2 64-bit. x64-based processor 11th gen i7-1165G7 @ 2.80GHz with 4 cores and 8 threads. 16Gb RAM. I have tried installing to both drives with no luck. The program installs, detects that an update is available, downloads the update, restarts, and then freezes on the white screen where I should be prompted to enter my license key. Been using Turbotax for at least 10 years so really hoping to get a fix from them to make this work.

Secret support phone number is [phone number removed]. Only available if you fill in an web form and submit from a cell phone -- doesn't work from a desktop PC -- great if you're doing your taxes on cell phone running Windows 10. I held for 20 minutes and then got disconnected. Second time I got a live operator who asked all the same info already entered on the web form.

Hi Stuart, I feel your pain. A Google search got me to the top-secret support page via the US web site: https://support.turbotax.intuit.ca/contact/#/search/I%2520D%252FL%2520and%2520installed%2520Turbotax.%2520%2520When%2520I%2520launch%2520the%2520program%2520I%2520get%2520the%2520splash%2520screen%2520but%2520then%2520it%2520checks%2520for%2520updates%2520and%2520freezes%2520on%2520a%2520white%2520screen. Naturally they're only open "business hours" so I will try them on Monday. Disappointing that actual support (as opposed to quick Q&A and community help) is impossible to find on their site.
