It is still early in the filing season. It is best to check for TurboTax updates everyday. There are some forms that are not updated until late February or March. Until the forms are updated, there is nothing else to do but wait.

Small business is reverting back to a Dec31 y/e; therefore two year ends in 2020. All data is entered correctly into TurboTax. Software does not populate the required areas in Section 5. Attempts to override one of the fields results in a message stating the override will preclude the return from being netfiled! This is ridiculous in a world that is supposed to be paperless, I am now faced with printing the returns and mailing/hand delivering paper copies to the CRA!!! Nonsense. Someone somewhere does not understand the purpose of the T1139 (either in the software design area OR in the software testing area). TurboTax software has given me several problems this year - most I have been able to resolve by using my valuable time. This could be the last year I use this software. Client service reps are of little help when all they can tell us is that a form is locked - they don't know why, they don't know when it might be unlocked. And forget even trying to get any information out of the CRA regarding the software that they approved for use!!!! Very disappointed.

Very disappointing indeed! I think the issue lies with CRA not troubleshooting the software properly. So much for going paperless!

Turbo Tax....this problem with Form1139B is serious. My specific issue is with Part 5 of the T1139. Information/data entered into the software does not populate the fields in Part 5 of the form. I cannot netfile my business returns as required using the software. I must override a number of fields and then print and submit the return manually to CRA. This is ridiculous.

I agree with you taxmonkey. Unless a user can remember to manually input the carryforward into the form next year, TurboTax will lose track of the carryforward. As a retired CRA employee and longtime user of TurboTax (and its predecessors), I would recommend waiting for Intuit to fix the issues so as to not create future filing problems.

Thank you!!! for posting your update. I believe that is the same form that is holding up completing my return. Appreciate the time it took you to investigate the problem; saves me time with my analysis. Over one hour on the phone with a rep who was of little help except to raise a ticket. I agree that Intuit is not on the ball this year with updates.

As of today, Mar 2, 2020, software updates (Standard version 2020; Windows 10) were completed. After entering all data and finalizing return, software will not allow me to print a pdf, save a pdf, or go beyond that stage to netfile. Continues to give message that not all government forms are up to date (in spite of there being no additional updates available). Last week, on February 22, email received from TurboTax announced that netfile was now available. There were several updates issued after that date, including an update to the .exe file. Something is wrong with the updates!!! This is a huge inconvenience. Speaking with a TurboTax resulted in nothing other than to have a ticket raised. I am a long time user of TurboTax but am seriously considering other options in order to complete this year's tax season on time!!
