Hi, The professional management company charged me a leasing fee. Should I put that under "management and administrative fees"? The condo also has condo fees as well. Should that also be under "management and administrative fees"? We also bought a new dishwasher for the rental property. Should that be under "Maintenance and repairs"? There was a special assessment done before the rental started, but the charge was during the rental timeframe. Can we claim that as an expense as well? If so, should that be under "Maintenance and repairs"? Thanks!

Hi, I received a W-2 for the wages in US in 2021. The total amount on the form is actually incorrect because it was not adjusted due to benefits that we could not claim. We also paid less federal income tax than we were supposed to so we were owed money at the end of the year (hence the W-2 amounts do not accurately reflect the total taxes paid). Should we use our US federal tax return (1040) as the form to fill out the adjusted income and taxes paid in the US? Also, can the social security tax and medicare tax be added under "foreign tax paid" as well? We also donated in the US so the total US income was adjusted to reflect that. Should we input the total US income on the 1040 or the adjusted US income on the 1040 from the donation? We also claimed "credits for other dependents" so our foreign taxes paid were lower. Should we input the total foreign taxes paid or the adjusted foreign taxes paid from the credits? Thanks for the help!
