a "factual" resident return is the same return as if you were living here in Canada. So even though you were not living in ontario, for tax purposes you are still considered a resident. Which tax package should you use? For each tax year that you're a factual resident of Canada for tax purposes, use the General Income Tax package for the province or territory where you keep residential ties. Generally, this is the province or territory where you lived before you left Canada.

Just wanted to make clear that if you had any income from your new work location in 2015, that you should have claimed moving expenses up to the net income for 2015(new location) and whatever is leftover will be able to claim in 2016.
