If you have not filed (NETFILE) your return, on the right upper corner of your screen, click on Tools --> Return Manager and start a new return to enter your SIN.

Yes, you can look at the entries you made previously. As long as you have not electronically filed (NETFILE) your return, you can go back, visit and edit your entries in the return.

Here's what I recommend for your scenario 1. Make sure that you have filed your 2016 tax return successfully (you should have a confirmation number for the same). 2. Contact the CRA and update your address with them for you to get your entitled 2016 refund. Also ask them about your 2016 return if you are in doubt.

Yes, you can start a new return and select Standard, charges are on a per-return basis. Note that you will have to file her 2016 return first before filing the 2017 return, that can be done by signing into the 2016 product in https://turbotax.intuit.ca/tax-software/index.jsp
