The maximum amount is 50% as per the CRA (see link A below). Could it be that some of your pension income is not eligible to be split? (see link B)

@juliearsenault12 Can I ask how you purchased TurboTax back in January? Did you make a payment at that time? You must have chosen TurboTax Assist & Review when you began your return, that means that you chose to have an expert review your return before you file. If you would like to choose a different product that does not provide this support, you can file your return using one of our other products. Hi, @connienelsontink. First of all, I would like to say I am sorry for your loss. I found this information on the CRA's site: https://www.canada.ca/en/revenue-agency/services/tax/individuals/topics/rrsps-related-plans/death-rr... On this page, it says that if a surviving spouse elects to make the repayments of the HBP of the deceased spouse, then the amount would be treated as if the surviving spouse had withdrew it. It would effectively become your owed balance to the HBP.
